So it’s another foggy morning (Have you heard the song “T’ick o’ Fog”? It’s an awesome song all about the fog in Nova Scotia. I used to play it in ukulele back when I was in J. Chalmers Doane’s A Ukulele Group … and did you know he is Melanie Doane’s dad? Very musical family indeed.) Anyway, where was I? Ah, yes. The fog. We’re finally back to more seasonal weather: you wake up and you think “Oh no! It’s so foggy!!” but by mid-morning it’s turned into an awesome sunny day. Yesterday was gorgeous, as I’m sure you found when you were at the Farmers’ Market in Lunenburg. Well today you can experience it all over again at the Farmers’ Market in Mahone Bay. A bit smaller (okay, a lot smaller) but good things come in small packages, right? It’s on main street, right across the street from Joanne Bakery where you can buy the delicious baked goods from The LaHave Bakery (and that’s pronounced how it looks and following all the normal English grammar rules, so the ‘Have’ part of LaHave has a hard a, not a soft one!!)
A full house in the backpacker hostel last night, so we’re off to a great start. We have our double room available tonight, though, so if you’re interested give us a call!
