Welcome! I am a preschool teacher and ex-backpacker now hostel-owner! I lived on the magnificent South Shore of Nova Scotia … nestled quietly between Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. It’s gorgeous here. We are trying to attract visitors to our hostel by attracting visitors to this area. But really, this is such a beautiful spot that I hope you’ll come this way even if you don’t stay in our hostel, but stay in one of the many lovely bed & breakfasts and inns.

Found your web site via a RT Twitter. So excited to find a blogger in Nova Scotia! My parents live on the Eastern Shore – they used to run a B&B (Osprey and the Loon) but closed it a few years ago. I’ve heard tourism is down there this year but hope that’s not true for your area. We try to visit once a year – but since we live in Alaska, that’s usualy every other year (sigh) so I look forward to your blog posts to fill in my homesickness!!
Thanks Melodie! I believe on the Nova Scotia tourism website there is a list of Nova Scotian bloggers .. you might even find one on the Eastern Shore! My husband is from New Zealand and we lived there for about 8 years before moving back to my home, Nova Scotia: so I really know what you meant about craving a visit to family and friends who live way too far away!
